The city shuttle, intercity-terminal service and regional buses have different destinations. Start with where you will spend the first night.

Two Luna services: choose the right stop
The airport places the bus area beside parking P1. The city service ends behind the Opera and Ballet near Skanderbeg Square; the other service goes to Terminali Jug-Veri, the North and South Terminal.
These are published onboard fares, not currency conversions. Online bank fees may apply. The airport estimates the city journey at 30–40 minutes; Luna’s route display gives about 45 minutes. Waiting, airport procedures and the final approach to your hotel are separate.

Tickets, payment and luggage
Luna sells tickets online and on board; it accepts cash or card, in lek or euros. The operator says advance reservation is not required. A child occupying a seat pays the full fare.
Luna lists two large suitcases and hand luggage per passenger ticket without an additional hold-luggage charge. Check unusual luggage directly. Online tickets are described as valid for the selected calendar day; do not assume automatic next-day validity after a delay past midnight. Online bank fees are separate from onboard fares.

Taxi or transfer: agree on the details
The airport points to its officially branded taxis at the terminal. Check the fare or agreed total and give the full hotel address. A pre-arranged transfer needs a meeting point, flight-delay arrangement and contact number.
Compare the complete journey: a cheap bus followed by a late taxi to a distant hotel may be less appealing than one direct trip.

Make the final night part of departure
For an early flight, book the last night in Tirana or near the airport and arrange the morning transfer. Ask an airport hotel whether the entrance is walkable and what any shuttle costs; “nearby” on a map is not enough.
From the Riviera or Theth, move the long return to the previous day. Traffic, weather and separate connections should not set the deadline for a flight.
